Annual Fancy BBQ

Here are some pictures from our anniversary BBQ back in June. You've probably seen these on facebook already, but I like to post things on here too because this is more personal. I made avocado gazpacho, vegan fudge, berry tarts, couscous with coconut and other interesting ingredients that I don't remember but it was good, pesto pasta, and we had BBQ'd big franks and pineapple.

The idea was a kind of moody poetry in the garden, early 19th century. The moody part didn't necessarily come out but sometimes your story changes or evolves as you put things together. I potted small colorful flowers in jars decorated with poems and brown paper.
I stuck paper umbrellas in the bushes to serve as a backdrop for our dinner as well as props for pictures.


And there were bubbles...
