I've been wanted to make a morning playlist to get ready to and this is the song at the top of my list! I've been singing it every morning lately. It makes me happy that Stephen now has to get ready at the same time so now I can make some noise. =)

So Hauntingly Beautiful

Heard this song at the beginning of my Christmas music dust-off back in October and have had in stuck in my head ever since. I love this song so much. So I wanted to share it with my co-workers for a worship I planned and found this video of little Emily Carey (12 yrs old) singing it so beautifully. It's really the only Christmas song I know that talks about Jesus' birth and death.

Elvis on the mind?

I had this song, "A Little Less Conversation" in my head all day yesterday. I wanted to just break out into an Elvis-ish-deep voice (loud) and wobble my legs. I know this song doesn't have the best message, but it's catchy.



The second one is just cute and my favorite from any of the Elvis movies I have seen lately, which is about four.

The Night Before Christmas

This little cartoon made in the 70's is another of my favorites. It has great songs in it. "You hope and I'll hurry. You pray and I'll plan. We'll do what's necessary cause' even a miracle needs a hand!"

And I was looking for the 70's cartoon "The Stingiest Man in Town" with Walter Mattheau, but couldn't find it. It's one of my favorite Scrooge movies. If you've seen it somewhere, let me know. My beaut up VHS taped copy is almost dead.

I grew up watching a lot of Disney's Silly Symphony cartoons and here are some great ones. The first one "The Cookie Carnival" always inspired me and I loved the cookie queens dress made from icing and candy!
